Serving is a great way to grow spiritually, get involved and make a significant contribution to what God is doing.

As you connect and grow in Christ, you will inevitably want serve others. Servinging is a great way to grow spiritually, get involved and make a significant contribution to what God is doing. As we follow Jesus we learn to see others with love and compassion. Serving is how we're known as authentic followers of Jesus - by living out our love for one another.

Jesus perfectly demonstrates what authentic love looks like - unconditional and sacrificial. Jesus loves us 'no matter what,' and He calls us to emulate Him in caring for others. Jesus said, "Whatever you do for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me".

Can God really use me?

Yes! The Bible teaches us that every member of God's church is equipped and called to serve. Every member of Westside is called to serve. We believe we must walk the talk. And you have been given unique gifts to equip and empower you to serve. Living Waters helps you discover your gifts and apply them to help others and discover meaning and purpose.

S - Spiritual Gifts:

As a believer, you have been given spiritual gifts. Discovering your spiritual gifts is imperative to maturity and effective service.

H - Heart or passion:

God gave you a heart passion. This might be a love for kids, for organizing, creating, playing music. Discovering your passion will make your service fulfilling and fun.

A - Abilities:

You have unique abilities. It might be a technical skill, a talent, an understanding of a subject, etc. Your abilities provide a good clue of where God wants you to make a difference in the world.

P - Personality:

Your personality is important to your service. Some people are naturally outgoing, some introverted. Your service needs to fit your personality.

E - Experiences:

Your life experiences are invaluable to your service. Your education, your vocation, spiritual history, and even your painful experiences are resources to bless others.
